About Native Edge
Welcome to Native Edge! We are an ecologically-focused landscape architecture firm specializing in developing landscapes for people and nature. Our design philosophy is simple - work with nature, not against it.
Our design process revolves around the belief that every landscape should meet the needs of the people the site serves as well as the native local flora and fauna which are critical to the health of our local and regional ecosystems.
Healthy landscapes create healthy communities, and a meaningful connection to the ecological heritage of the area is paramount to a site realizing its highest potential and is the foundation upon which all our projects are built.
From a downtown plaza, to a private residence, to a nature preserve, our mission is to help our clients unlock the magic in their landscapes and discover the beauty and benefits to be had when we design with nature and embrace native landscapes.
From the initial kick-off meeting, to post-construction follow up and monitoring, Native Edge is your trusted partner in creating places which enrich our lives, connect us with nature, and protect our planet for future generations.
From concept development through site design and construction documentation, our team creates designs which are unique, creative, and bring our client's dreams into reality.
Maintenance & Monitoring
We are committed to supporting our clients and their native landscapes as they grow, mature, and evolve over time.
Identifying a site's existing natural features and understanding the areas historic land cover is the first step to creating resilient, healthy landscapes.
Construction & Installation
We will make sure your project is built right by being your partner and agent through the construction process - and we install all native landscapes ourselves!
Native Edge was founded in 2016 by husband and wife team, Wes and Jackie Landon. We're passionate about people, the environment, and design that works for both. We started this business to fight for ecological principals in design, create captivating places across urban and natural environments, and deliver a personal, inclusive approach for our clients from initial concept development through project implementation. As a landscape architect / aquatic biologist team, we're uniquely suited for the complex issues facing the environmental spectrum of design and landscape architecture, and are excited to assist you with your project!
